Our inaugural Boots Block Chardonnay is a vibrant and enticing wine that brings together some of our favorite blocks and barrels of Chardonnay from Ritchie Vineyard and Big River Ranch.

After being hand-sorted, the grapes were whole-cluster pressed off the skins. The hard press was separated, allowing for only free-run juice to be used in this wine. The juice was cold settled for 24 hours before being racked off the heavy lees into 100% French oak barrels, 30% of which were new. Barrel stirring was performed daily during primary fermentation.

Combining bright natural acidity, with a velvety texture, this is a versatile and layered wine that will pair with an array of foods. Aromas of nectarine, citrus and white flowers rise from the glass, followed by notes of wet stone and sweet baking spices. Though the palate is creamy and full, the acidity adds poise and precision to flavors of vibrant citrus and peach, all of which are supported by a layer of crisp, cleansing minerality.
