This expressive appellation chardonnay is crafted by artfully selecting barrels from several of our single vineyard sources. The result is a rich, yet elegant chardonnay that exemplifies the cooler Russian River Valley appellation from which it is sourced. Coastal morning for blankets the vineyards, burning off in the afternoon to allow the grapes to ripen slowly and evenly throughout the growing season.

The chardonnay grapes were hand-sorted, pressed off the skins and placed into French oak barrels for primary and secondary fermentation, which took approximately two months to complete. Chardonnay lees were stirred up in the barrels for 30 seconds each day during initial fermentation, then once per week. The wine was aged in barrel for a further eight months before being blended together.

Lithe and bright aromatics of peach and daffodils lead into a plump mouthfeel of Meyer lemon and plenty of minerality. Superb viscosity matches uplifiting acidity on the finish.
