Our Russian River Valley Pinot Noir is created by carefully blending together a selection of barrels from the 2013 harvest, with the fruit from each individual vineyard adding character and complexity to the final blend. The Love vineyard provides the majority of this blend. Its 115 and 667 clone grapes provide soft, round tannins and bright red color. Fruit from the Jenkins Vineyard adds elegance and excellent acidity. Stephens Vineyard brings power to this blend, with its steep hillside exposure creating stressed, small clusters of intensely concentrated fruit. Together, this wine showcases all of the textural elements and bright fruit that make Russian River Valley pinot famous.

Each vineyard lot underwent a cold soak for five to seven days in open-top tanks. Punch downs were performed twice daily by hand. The wine was then aged in French oak, 30% new, for 11 months. Multiple blending trials were performed to find the perfect mix of barrels for this blend.

Dark ruby-red in color, the Russian River pinot noir begins with a nose of sarsaparilla and violets, as well as notes that are reminiscent of a maple forest. On the palate, a mouthfeel brimming with luscious red fruit leads into chewy, soft tannins and a vibrant finish.
