Appellation: Russian River Valley

Sensory Notes: Dark ruby-red color, this wine begins with a nose of sasparilla and violets, as well as notes that are reminiscent of a maple forest. On the palate, a mouthfeel brimming with luscious red fruit leads into chewy, soft tannins and a vibrant finish. 

Vineyard Notes: We carefully selected barrels from our 2013 harvest to create this beautiful blend. The Love vineyard provides the majority of this blend. It's 115 and 667 clone grapes provide soft, round tannins and bright red color. Fruit from the Jenkins vineyard adds elegance and excellent acidity. Stephens vineyard brings power to this blend, with it's steep hillside exposure creating stressed, small clusters of intensely concentrated fruit. Together this wine showcases all of the textural elements and bright fruit that makes Russian River Valley pinot famous. 

Winemaking Notes: Each vineyard lot underwent a cold soak for five to seven days in open-top tanks. Punch downs were performed twice daily by hand. The wine was then aged in French oak, 30% new, for 11 months. Multiple blending trials were performed to find the perfect mix of barrels for this blend.
