"Exceptional: a luscious, ripely flavored chardonnay that is fairly rich, complex in character (lime, honey, white peach, baked pear, guava), well balanced, and very long and persistent on the finish. Very fine quality. 5 stars."

Varietal: 100% Chardonnay
Appellation: Russian River Valley
Sensory Notes: Lithe and bright aromatics of peach and daffodils lead into a plump mouthfeel of Meyer lemon and plenty of minerality. Superb viscosity matches uplifting acidity on the finish.
Vineyard Notes: This expressive appellation chardonnay is crafted by artfully selecting barrels from several of our single vineyard sources. The result is a rich, yet elegant chardonnay that exemplifies the cooler Russian River Valley appellation from which it is sourced. Coastal morning fog blankets the vineyards, burning off in the afternoon to allow the grapes to ripen slowly and evenly throughout the season.
Winemaking Notes: The grapes were hand-sorted, pressed off the skins and placed into French oak barrels for primary and secondary fermentation, which took approximately two months to complete. Chardonnay lees were stirred up in the barrels for 30 seconds each day during primary fermentation, then once per week after that. The wine was aged in barrel for eight months before being blended together.
Enjoy now through 2021.
