PLANTED: 1996
SOIL: Sandy Loam/Goldridge
YIELD: 3 tons per acre
GROWER: Earl Stephens

Earl Stephens Vineyard is a perfect example of an ideal combination of site and clonal selection. Located in the Green Valley sub-appellation of the Russian River Valley, this vineyard is planted on steep slopes in Goldridge sandy loam soils, and features Dijon clone vines on vigor-reducing 101.14 rootstock. Though yields are low, the quality is outstanding, with these beautifully maturing vines producing expressive cool-climate Pinot Noir.
