2019 Pinot Noir Russian River Valley

Sensory Notes: Gorgeous and bright, the 2019 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir merges bright red cherries with hints of savory herbs. An engaging palate, tart cherries and juniper are underscored with baking spices and concludes with a long, focused finish.

Winemaker Notes: Our Russian River Valley Pinot Noir is created by crafting a blend of barrels from the 2019 harvest, with the fruit from each individual vineyard adding character and complexity to the final blend. Gunsalus Vineyard, in the cooler Green Valley AVA, comprises 46% of this blend, and equal parts Jenkins Vineyard and Earl Stephens Vineyard Pinot Noir complete this wine. The grapes from each vineyard were harvested by hand at night between September 13th and 18th, then cold soaked for five to seven days, and fermented in open-top tanks with twice daily punchdowns. The wine was aged for 14 months in 100% French oak barrels, 25% of which was new.
