We also experienced a long and beautiful growing season in 2019. This made for amazing wine from the Jenkins Vineyard, particularly when aged in select oak barrels. Named in honor of the 20th year of grapes harvested from this special place, Twenty Leaf was created to showcase standout barrels from the 2019 vintage.
For this wine, we combined several clones of Pinot Noir (primarily 115 and 667), which possess floral notes in a neutral barrel but take on darker, earthier qualities in the presence of the wood tannins of new oak. We combined both types of barrels and used both native and cultured yeast lots to create a rich, complex, layered wine. We hope you enjoy this single-vintage, barrel-select Pinot Noir.
