Lively, bright cellared gem. Aromas of red cherry, Asian spices and wild California bay laurel, merge into clove, cedar and sage with a silky texture and incredibly uplifting, lengthy finish. An incredible food pairing wine.

The Sonoma Coast appellation is fast becoming a premiere growing region for exceptional Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Cool coastal winds with foggy mornings and evenings helps to create a longer growing season and deep, complex wines that evoke European sophistication. For the 2014 Ten Acre Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir, we chose specific blocks of our vineyards that showcase the Sonoma Coast style and focused on clones 667, 777, 115 and Pommard. We fermented the Pinot Noir fruit for 18 days, using 10% whole clusters. Only free-run juice was used to make this elegant, sophisticated wine. The Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir was aged for 10 months in French oak barrels, 35% new. A single racking before bottling creates a balanced, complex, unfiltered wine.

Bright fruit aromas jump from the glass offering notes of cherry, sarsaparilla, clove, cedar, sage and earthy redwood forest. The cherry layers continue on the palate, where they mingle with generous flavors of plum, blackberry and brambly fruit, all of which are framed by rich, mouthfilling tannins.
